Outline (in English)

・Course outline
The aim of this course is to build the foundations which are essential to study law with whatever intention by not only listening to a lecture but working on exercises yourselves at seminar-style class that consists of a small number of students.
And so, this course should be very instructive to all new students who begin studying law from now on.

・Learning Objectives
At the end of the course, students are expected to learn the way to do the followings:
①to read the articles
②to read the cases
③to research the legal literatures
④to make a presentation on legal issue
⑤to write a paper on legal issue
⑥to think about something legally and tackle the study of law of your own accord.

・Learning activities outside of classroom
Students will be expected to do the followings:
-to have completed the required assignments after each class meetings
-to prepare for the presentation (to collect data on the matter and draw up the summary of the presentation)
-to write a paper.
Your study time will be more than four hours for a class.

・Grading Criteria
Grading will be decided based on the presentation and term-end report(50%), and in class contribution(50%).
