Outline (in English)
【Course outline】
This course introduces the foundations of psychology by considering from a psychological perspective what behavioral characteristics people exhibit when they see objects or socialize with other people.
【Learning Objectives】
The aim of this course will help students broadly acquire a basic understanding of psychology.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students are required to review each class using handouts to deepen your understanding of the class content (1 hour per class).
Students are strongly expected to take notes and to summarize what they learned in preparation for the term-end examination (1 hour per class).
【Grading Criteria】
Grading will be based on (1) term-end examination (80%) and (2) usual performance score (assignments and quizzes) (20%).

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
心理学は、人がなぜそのように感じ振る舞うのかを、科学的に分析する学問です。本講座では、身近なトピックを取り上げながら、人の行動と心の働きに関する心理学的知見を学びます。
到達目標Goal
心理学の基礎的な知識を得ることができます。心理学の歴史、古典的研究（知覚心理学や学習心理学など）の基礎的な知見、最近の研究（認知神経科学、脳と行動に関する研究など）の紹介を通じて、心理学の全体像を掴むことを目標とします。
