Outline (in English)
This course deals with This course deals with English Geographical papers. It also enhances the development of students’ skill in English Geographical papers. The aims and the goals of this course are to brush up students' ability in English, and also to know new current themes and topics in western Human Geography written in English. Students will be expected to have completed the required assignments after each class meeting, which will need more than 2 hours. Final grade will be decided based on the Short reports.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
この授業の目的は，受講生の英語読解の能力を高めることである。主に人文地理学の英語論文を読解していくことで、現在の研究状況を把握できるようになることを目指したい。
到達目標Goal
テキストとする英語論文の内容を正しく理解するとともに、自らの卒業論文執筆に資するよう取り組み、地理学の幅を広げることが目標である。入学時の英語の学力をさらに発展させることを目指したい。

授業時間外の学習（準備学習・復習・宿題等）Work to be done outside of class (preparation, etc.)
各自は、レポート作成に当って、テキストについて英和辞書などを用いた単語などの下調べはもちろんのこと、登場する術語や人物についてもしかるべき事典を用いて調べておくこと。本授業の準備学習・復習時間は、各2時間を標準とする。
