Outline (in English)

[Course Outline]
Through case study in this course, students learn analysis of both statute and case law, and application of the law in criminal procedure. This course mainly includes criminal investigation.
[Learning Objectives]
By the end of the course, students are expected to be able to acquire the skill of analyzing both statute and case law, and applying the law in criminal procedure.
[Learning activities outside of classroom]
Students will be expected to have read the indicated judicial precedents and relevant chapters from textbooks before class meeting. Afterwards, students should review the course content thoroughly and sometimes will be expected to complete short reports of the required assignments. Before/after each class meeting. students will be expected to spend four hours in total to understand the course content.

Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the followings:
Term-end examination: 70%, Short reports: 20%, in class contribution: 10%
