Outline (in English)

We are going to acquire media literacy by making research and giving presentations, and having discussions on several important topics.
We are going to grow out of "the information-illiterate", who never doubt what they have learned at school or from the mass-media, and become "the information-literate", that is, those who have media literacy, can make research on, think about, and discuss various important topics, and choose appropriate information on the mass-media.
Presenters need to make research on the assigned topic, and prepare for their presentations. The other students also need to make research on the same topic, and think about it. Preparation and the review of each class takes 4 hours.
Grading criteria of this course consist of presentation(30%), contribution to the class(30%), and a report at the end of the semester(40%).
