Outline (in English)

Course Outline: The theme of this course is “Comparative Dramatics.” It represents a means of analyzing drama with a view to understanding the meaning and value of our current reality from sociological, ideological, political-economic and other perspectives.
Learning Objectives: On completing this course, students will be able to correctly understand how to think critically, without being passive or in a state of suspended thinking, and will be able to apply this knowledge not only to the appreciation of works of art but also to the real world.
Learning Activities Outside of the Classroom: If you attend this lecture, I would like you to be exposed to as many theatrical or visual works as possible. For preparation and review students should read the literature and view the works mentioned in the lecture. Standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each, including the viewing of the works introduced in the lecture.
Grading Criteria/Policy: Ordinary marks including class participation (70%); essay exam (30%).
