Outline (in English)

Course Outline: This course introduces the history of Japanese literature, performing arts, and language.
Learning Objectives: The purposes of this course are (1) to understand the basic history of Japanese literature, performing arts, and language, (2) to understand the basic research methods of each area, and (3) to acquire the ability to explain what we have learned in this course to other people.
Learning Activities Outside of the Classroom: Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend 2 hours to understand the course content.
Grading Criteria/Policy: Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following: submission rate of short reports (20%); quality of the short reports submitted for each class (80%).
