Outline (in English)
The aim of this seminar is for the students to acquire the basic manners of "how to study at university" through the actual experience of the elementary study at university.
The goal of this seminar is to achieve the basic level of speaking, listening, reading, writing, and thinking that is required by universities.
When conducting literature readings, it is necessary for those who are not in charge of the presentation to read the literature beforehand and find out questions and issues that might become topics for discussion. Before the class starts, the presenters must also prepare and print out their resumes.
Attitude and contribution to the class: 40%, resume presentation and final report: 60%.
Students will fail the class if they do not complete both the presentation of the literature reading using a resume and the submission of the final report.

学生が大学における初歩的な学びを実際に経験することで、「大学での学び方」の基本的な作法を身につけることを目的とする。
到達目標Goal
「話す・聞く・読む・書く・考える」ことについて、大学で求められる基本的な水準に達することを目標とする。

社会学に関連する文献の講読を中心に、レジュメの作成、発表、ディスカッションなどを交えて授業を進めていく。それらに加えて、図書館利用の方法や、レポートの作成方法など、授業時間外における準備作業の仕方についても一通り授業で取り上げる。最終授業で、13 回までの講義内容のまとめや復習だけでなく、授業内で行った試験や小レポート等、課題に対する講評や解説も行う（ただし、授業計画は授業の展開により、若干の変更があり得る）。

期末課題の解説と授業のふりかえり
授業時間外の学習（準備学習・復習・宿題等）Work to be done outside of class (preparation, etc.)
授業の軸となる文献講読を行うにあたって、必ず報告担当者以外も事前に文献を読み、疑問点やディスカッションのテーマになりそうな論点を見つけておくこと。また、報告担当者は、レジュメの作成・印刷等の準備を授業時間までに必ず終えておく必要がある。以上にくわえて、授業終盤は期末レポートの準備を各自で進めておくこと。
本授業の準備学習・復習時間は各4時間を標準とする。

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
平常点（授業への参加姿勢・貢献）40％、レジュメ報告と期末レポート60％。
・文献講読のレジュメ報告、期末レポートの提出のいずれかが欠けた場合でも落第とする。
学生の意見等からの気づきChanges following student comments
グループディスカッションは学生の自主性を重んじていたが，議論が盛り上がらないグループも散見されたため，こちらである程度議論が盛り上がりそうなテーマを設定することにした。
