Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
In the spring semester, students will study the analysis of TV texts from various perspectives, including narrative structure and visual expression, using TV dramas as the object of analysis. In the fall semester, students will begin preparations for their graduation research, such as planning research themes and searching for reference materials. In the spring semester, students will read literature and analyze case studies of TV dramas in an exercise format with reports and discussions by reporters.
【Learning Objectives】
In the spring semester, students should be able to analyze the narrative structure and visual expressions of TV dramas. In the fall semester, students should be able to conceive a research theme for graduation research and search for references.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.

Report on literature subscriptions and participation in discussions (40%)
Students' brief review of each class (30%)
Reports on preparation for graduation research (30%)
