Outline (in English)

[Course outline]
This "Special Lecture" is lectured by leading experts in overseas architectural fields as foreign visiting professor.

This year, in the first and second part of the Autumn Semester, the Special Lecture "Geometric surfaces in architecture A (GSA-A)" is given by Professor Sonja Krasic from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Nis University in Serbia.

GSA-A is taught by English.

The outline and the objective of the lecture is as follows: Adoption of theoretical assumptions to perform geometric surfaces, which you need to implement these surfaces in architectural practice, what contributes to enhance the aesthetic value of objects.

[Learning Objectives]
Encourages creativity of future engineers of architecture, through examples, increasing the basis of knowledge of contemporary architectural practice.

[Learning activities outside of classroom]
Taking the GSA-B (Geometric Surfaces of Architecture B) is strongly recommended.

[Grading Criteria /Policy]
-Discussion Responses (answer questions during lectures): 30%

-Mid-Term Test (one or two, with questions which are on presentations): 35%

-Final Project (Homework): 35% For the final project, students will find new examples of surfaces that we assign them, given that there are 12, they will learn. Each student may process one type of surface on the derived objects. Their examples we can add to the appropriate presentation for the next generation.
