Outline (in English)

Course outline:
This course provides students with skills in structural calculations and programming via an introduction to programming using spreadsheet software.

Learning Objectives:
Through programming exercises using spreadsheet application software, the objectives of this course are: 1) to understand the cross-sectional verification method of reinforced concrete (RC) column and beam members, 2) to master basic programming techniques, and 3) to become familiar with the use of spreadsheet application software and to develop application skills for writing papers, etc.

Learning activities outside of classroom:
Students are expected to prepare for and review the course using reference books and notebooks, and to actively engage in the homework exercises and assignments.
The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.

Grading Criteria/Policy:
Grading will be based on the results of exercises.
