Outline (in English)

Steel structures are indispensable to skyscrapers and large-span buildings. The start of the course will introduce details of steel structure history, mechanical properties of steel materials, characteristics and design methods of different types and structures used for assembly, and issues with internal buckling. From there, the course will explore special topics including tension, compression and bending members and their joining methods, explaining modern considerations and handling procedures.
