Outline (in English)

In this course students will experience the process of design while developing their field of study, through the creation of diagrams and models. In addition, during group classes students will gain communication skills through teamwork.

[Learning Objectives]
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
・Cultivate the ability to spatialize abstract concepts
・Acquire techniques to create appropriate spaces for expected behavioral situations
・Think about space ideas by going back to architectural plans
・Consider architecture from the perspective of reducing environmental impact
・Learn how to qualitatively and quantitatively evaluate the characteristics of space
・Extract the characteristics of the area around the site and understand it hierarchically
・Learn how to do group work effectively and efficiently
・ Acquiring the ability to express and convey space

[Learning activities outside of classroom]
Students will be expected to have completed the required assignments after each class meeting. Your study time will be more than eight hours for a class.

[Grading Criteria /Policy]
Comprehensive evaluation of final presentation work based on esquisse and interim presentations. The degree of development of the design by Esquisse are important evaluation targets.
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following
First assignment: 30%、Second assignment : 70%
Four or more unexcused absences will not be considered for grade.
