Outline (in English)

This "Economics" course, based primarily on microeconomics and macroeconomics, will help students understand the basic principles and concepts of modern economics, learn how to allocate resources efficiently, and understand the concept of human economic behavior through the lens of economics. Specific topics covered include consumer behavior, corporate production behavior, market mechanisms, game theory, and macroeconomic policy. The goal of this course is to enhance students' analytical and thinking skills by familiarizing them with elementary algebra, analysis, and other analytical tools that are essential to the study of modern economics. Therefore, the course avoids historical approaches and ideological discussions, and instead focuses on understanding "economic models" and their application to solving realistic microeconomic problems. Those who lack a solid foundation in reading, writing, and basic mathematics (character equations, linear equations, quadratic equations, linear functions, quadratic functions, and calculus) will be required to make independent efforts to compensate for their weaknesses. In order to improve comprehension, students will be required to practice problems rather than attend one-way lectures. The mid-term and final examinations will be in the form of multiple-choice, correct/incorrect, and other symbolic choices.
