Outline (in English)
The aim of this course is to improve students' reading, writing, and listening skills through reading current affairs in English. At the end of the course, participants are expected to acquire basic English skills and enlarge knowledge of current events. Before each class meeting, students will be expected to have read the relevant chapter from the text. Your required study time is at least one hour for each class meeting. Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following: Term-end examination (50%), In-class contribution and assignment submissions (50%).

国内企業のグローバル化に着目した英文記事の読解を通して、国内、国際社会への意識を高め、自分の意見を英語でアウトプットすることを目標とします。
到達目標Goal
1. ディクテーションやシャドーイングを通じて英語の音声に慣れリスニング力を強化する。
2. 英文記事の読解を通して英語の文法、語彙を強化する。
3. 日本の社会、特に国内企業のグローバル化への取り組みについての理解を深め、自分の意見を英語でアウトプットできるようになる。

指定テキスト Global Leadership (金星堂）を使用し、テキスト内の演習問題、英文読解、リスニングのディクテーション、リアクションペーパーの作成を行います。秋学期はテキストの偶数 Unitを使用します。授業では予習箇所について学生を指名し発言を求めます。各ユニットごとにテキスト内の演習問題を授業内課題として出題します。フィードバッグは授業内での解説やE-mailを使用して行います。

事前に指定したテキストの演習問題を解き、Readingの英文を読んできてください。本授業の準備学習・復習時間は、合わせて1時間を標準とします。

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
授業内試験 50％ 、平常点（予習、授業内での発言などの貢献度、課題提出）50％で評価します。最終試験を受けるためには実授業日数の 2 分の 1 以上の出席が必要です。遅刻、早退は減点の対象となります。
