Outline (in English)

This course will provide students with basic concepts of psychological statistics and statistical computing methods. Topics covered include descriptive measures, measures of relationship, statistical inference, and hypothesis testing. The primary purpose of the course is to help students become familiar with basic concepts of psychological statistics and data analysis using R.
At the end of the course, students are expected to understand the statistical methods used in psychology, to be able to select appropriate data analysis methods according to research hypotheses, and to practice psychometric statistical methods in practice.
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
Final grade will be calculated according to the following process: Mid-term examinations (50%), term-end examination (50%), and in-class contribution.
