Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
In this lecture, students will learn the roles that cooperatives have played in people's lives and the roles they are playing today. In particular, students will learn about the significance of the existence of cooperatives in the presence of various types of management organizations, and how to improve the real world.
【Learning Objectives】
・Be able to explain the characteristics of cooperatives as management organizations
・Be able to explain the development process of cooperatives based on the social and economic background
・Be able to explain the role that agricultural cooperatives and consumer cooperatives play in the local community.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
・The standard time for preparation and review of this class is 2 hours each.
・Every time, as a review, consider the contents of the lecture and create a reaction paper.
・Prepare for each lesson using materials and audio-visual materials provided in advance.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
・Normal points (35%), reaction paper (35%), final exam (30%).
・Normal points are evaluated based on independence in questions and group work.
・Reaction papers are evaluated based on whether students are able to consider the content of each lecture while connecting it with their own knowledge and actual life.
・The final exam will be composed mainly of short essays and will be evaluated on the achievement status of the goals of this course.
