Outline (in English)

The purpose of this class is to make students learn about the history, culture, politics, economy, social environment, and people's life in the area surrounding the Tama Campus, and explore the peculiar significance of living as university students and their social role in this region.
The goals of this course are to understand the Hosei Tama Campus as the standing point for your university life, and get implications for proactive learning/activity.
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following
Short reports: 70%, in-class contribution: 30%.
