Outline (in English)
This course aims to provide students with opportunities to have critical thinking skills and express their opinions on different topics in English, using the textbook and authentic materials.
Students will learn about aspects of culture and society across cultures, while building their communication skills in all aspects.

このコースは、テキストとウエブサイトの資料等を使って、批判的思考法を養い、英語で様々なトピックについて英語で自分の意見を表現する機会を提供する。
コミュニケーション力を高めながら、多様な文化や社会の様相を学ぶ。

実施1回の授業で教科書の1ユニット分進める。授業の最後にはまとめとして教科書の内容についてサマリーを口頭発表を実施する。Try this, too!とTry this, one more time!は事前に準備して発表する。フィードバックを行い、リアクションペーパー等における良いコメントは授業内で紹介し、さらなる議論に活かす。

事前に教科書に指定されたURLにアクセスして音声をダウンロードし、予習してから出席すること。テキストのわからない単語は辞書で調べること。その際、類義語と反意語に注目すること。授業で耳にした修辞法や定型の言い回しは徹底して練習すること。サマリーを準備すること。Try this, too!とTry this, one more time!は事前に準備して
