授業の概要と目的(何を学ぶか)Outline and objectives
This lecture will cover "Energy," "Infrastructure, Industrialization," in the "Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)" listed in the "2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" adopted at the United Nations Summit in 2015. Learn about economic challenges such as "innovation" and "sustainable cities".
The feature of this lecture is how to utilize active learning methods and actually become political leaders or policy makers themselves to promote sustainable development based on "fictitious scenarios" related to economic problems. Incorporate a policy simulation that discusses and presents the best way with other students on how to do it, cooperation with other countries necessary for that purpose, or how to establish multilateral or international cooperation.
We will also deepen our understanding of actual policies and corporate initiatives to achieve sustainable economic growth and conduct off-campus learning to interview practitioners who are active in Japanese industry working on SDGs.
到達目標Goal
(1) What are "SDGs"? Organize specific examples of sustainable development.
(2) Understanding the concept of SDGs, learn examples of what hinders "sustainable development".
(3) Learn the international cooperation necessary to realize the SDGs through policy simulation.
