Outline (in English)

Course Outline:This course deals with the historical outlines of ancient Greece, the Hellenistic age, and the republican period of ancient Rome.
Learning Objectives:By the end of the course, students are expected to acquire fundamental knowledges concerning the history of ancient Greece, the Hellenistic age, and the republican period of ancient Rome, and to be able to critically think about the problems such as the characteristics of ancient democracy and the logic to justify wars.
Learning Activities outside of Classroom:Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
Grading Policy:Grading will be decided based on course-end examination (90%) and in-class contribution (10%).
