Outline (in English)
"Shi-ba shi-lüe" is one of the most popular Chinese books in Japan, and it is also the basis of many historical words. In this class, the purpose is to obtain the basics of Chinese "kundoku" and necessary knowledge to learn Chinese classics by carefully reading historical articles in "Shi-ba shi-lüe" while carefully reading them while explaining the background of the times.
From the period that is considered to be myths and legends to the Anshi War in the Tang Dynasty, acquires basic knowledge such as Chinese history and customs. Learn the basic structure of Chinese classics and learn the basics of "kundoku".
Lecture format. Chinese materials with "kunten" (punctuation marks, "kaeriten", "okurigana") are distributed as texts and we read them carefully as I explain the structure of the sentences. I will also explain the historical background necessary for reading and knowledge of ancient Chinese culture in a timely manner.
In each class, you will submit a reaction paper or sub-assignment, which check the students’ understanding and interests, and I will explain the sections and questions that need to be supplemented in the next class. In addition, a general grade will be based on the reaction papers (or short assignments).
Be sure to prepare for the materials distributed in advance.
Chinese-Japanese dictionaries and kanji dictionaries are used for preparation.
The preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
Evaluate the normal score as 10% and the test score as 90%.

『十八史略』は日本で最も親しまれた漢籍の一つであり、多くの故事成語の典拠ともなっている。この授業では、『十八史略』に採られた歴史的記事を、その時代背景を解説しつつ丁寧に訓読することで、漢文訓読の基礎及び中国古典を学ぶにあたっての必要な知識を得ることを目的とする。
到達目標Goal
神話・伝説とされる時代から唐代の安史の乱まで、中国の歴史の概要と習俗などの基本的な知識を習得する。漢文の基本構造を学習し、訓読の基礎を身につける。

講義形式で行う。訓点（句読点・返り点・送り仮名）を付した漢文資料をテキストとして配布し、文の構造を解説しながら精読する。読解に必要な時代背景や古代中国の文化に関する知識も、適時解説する。
毎回授業時にリアクションペーパーもしくは小課題を提出してもらい、学生の理解度や興味の方向性を確認し、補足が必要な部分や疑問点などは次の授業時に解説する。また、このリアクションペーパー（又は小課題）の提出と内容で平常点を決定する。

事前に配られたテキストには必ず予習を行うこと。
予習には漢和辞典・漢字辞典が必須となる。
本授業の準備・復習時間は、各２時間を標準とする。

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
平常点を１０％、試験の点数を９０％として評価する。
