This course is for students who want to improve their four English skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing). Special emphasis will be placed on active communication and improving your listening skills. You will learn how to better understand spoken English and will have many opportunities to engage in pair and group discussions and learn how to express your opinion effectively. First language of the classroom will always be English, however if any issues that might be difficult to understand come up, the instructor will explain them in Japanese.
このコースは皆さんの「聞く」「話す」「読む」「書く」という4つの技能の能力をレベルアップすることを目指します。とりわけ英語のリスニングとスピーキングを重視します。皆さんに、グループディスカッションやペアワークを通じて、アクティブなコミュニケーション、各自の意見を英語で述べる、意見交換を行う、というスキルを身に付けて頂くことが目的です。

1) You will learn how to express your opinion more effectively by practising listening, speaking, reading and writing exercises on various topics
2) You will be encouraged to improve your communication skills and develop critical thinking by engaging in discussions, pair & group work, etc.
3) The main goal is to become more confident and effective users of English in the future

3) 歌を楽しみながら英語を自然に覚える練習

対面授業の場合は、資料を紙で配布し、課題やテストなどを紙で提出して頂きます。

オンライン授業になった場合はZoomを使用してリアルタイムで実施します。英語のコミュニケーションを重視した授業であるため、オンラインの授業を受ける皆さんには事前にマイクとカメラを準備して頂き、授業中の使用をお願いすることになります。また、最終試験はワードのファイル形式またはグーグルフォーム形式で配布し、そのファイルを提出して頂きます。つまり、この授業がオンラインになった場合、マイク、カメラ、インターネット、ワードファイル（場合によってPDFファイル）の使用が可能な環境の整ったパソコンが必須となります。さらに、オンライン授業の場合は通教LMSを利用することがあります。その際、課題はパソコンから提出して頂きます。
課題に対する説明やコメント等は授業の最後に行います。そこでは受講生からの質問も受け付けます。
