Outline (in English)
Main theme of this seminar is "International Tourism and Cultural Policies in Corona Time: Consideration from Indonesia, ASEAN, UN Organizations and G20". By taking this seminar, students are expected to acquire related knowledge and foster ability to consider and analyze various international and Indonesian tourism and cultural policies, related international organizations and G20, and international public policy examples in corona time.

本特別セミナーは、「コロナ禍における国際観光・文化政策:インドネシア・ASEAN・国連機関・G20からの考察」をテーマとする。そして以下の諸項目で記載した要領で学んでいくことを通して、標記のテーマに関して、関連の知識を得るとともに、国際とインドネシアの観光政策と文化政策、関係の国際機関やG20、コロナ禍における国際公共政策の事例などを考察・分析する能力を涵養していくことも目的とする。

This seminar aims students to deepen understanding about the theme of this seminar, to conduct in-class feedback and contribution, and to summarize understanding and consideration in final reflection report.

Grading will be decided based on in-class feedback and contribution (60%) and final reflection report (40%).

その他の重要事項Others
This intensive seminar will be conducted starting on 30 Monday, January 2023 and ending on 4 Saturday, February 2023. Detailed schedule will be posted by administration of the Graduate School. Methods of teaching might be changed to online in the case that the lecturer becomes not possible to come to Japan because of corona situation. Details of this seminar will be explained in the opening and might be slightly modified.
Not only students of the Graduate School of Politics but also students of other Graduate Schools are possible to take this seminar. In addition, undergraduate students of the Department of Global Politics, Faculty of Law, who has a score more than TOEIC 550 or equivalent to it are also eligible to take this seminar.
Brief Introduction of the Lecturer
Dr. I Nyoman Darma Putra is a Professor at the Faculty of Humanities, Indonesia National Udayana University.
Prof. Putra received Ph.D. from the University of Queensland, Master from the University of Sydney and Bachelor from the Udayana University, and currently the Head of Doctoral Program of Cultural Studies in the Udayana University. Prof. Putra’s specialty with relate to this class is international and Indonesian tourism and cultural policy.
