Outline (in English)

Learning Objectives: Students will clarify the problem awareness of the author of the master's thesis (or the issues the student wishes to address in his or her master's thesis). By reading and understanding relevant academic papers, students will acquire basic academic results and research methodologies related to the theme. Therefore, the goal is to complete a thesis that is academically appropriate as a master's thesis. Learning Activities Outside of Classroom: The master's thesis will be based on each student's awareness of the problem (or the issues the student wishes to address). The following should be done before each class. In the first class, you will do the work requested in the interim report given in the spring semester. The second and third classes will be devoted to learning the analytical technique that are appropriate for each student's research. In the fourth and fifth classes, students will apply the analytical technique they have learned to the data they have obtained. In the sixth and seventh classes, students will interpret the results of their analyses. In the eighth and ninth classes, students will plan the outline of their master's thesis and prepare a rough draft. In the tenth and eleventh classes, students will prepare a more detailed draft based on comments from the instructor. In the twelfth to the fourteenth classes, students will revise their master's thesis based on comments from the instructor to complete it. Grading Criteria / Policy: Students will be graded based on the following criteria: 20% is based on the general participation, 30% on contribution to the discussion in the seminar, and 50% on the content of the report made in the seminar.
