Outline (in English)
The class aims at developing students' basic knowledge of accurately constructing English sentences leading to writing paragraphs and essays in which students develop the foundations of academic writing. Attention will be paid to not merely translating to English, but to developing the awareness and skill of writing in a more English-like way, finding and researching good topics and content-based writing.
・Reviewing basic grammatical structure in order to write more correctly and confidently.
・You can choose the most appropriate type of essay.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
本授業は、英文をセンテンスレベルで正確に組み立てるための基本的な知識や、自分の意見や考えをまとめてパラグラフで書く基礎力を身につけ、エッセンス・ライティング、アカデミック・ライティングを視野に入れた力へと発展させることを目的とする。伝たいテーマについて調査し、その結果をパラグラフ構成に則って効果的に書く経験を通して、学生に達成感と自信を与える。

・Reviewing basic grammatical structure in order to write more correctly and confidently.
・You can choose the most appropriate type of essay.
The lesson will involve using both the textbook and also free-writing.
At the beginning of the class, feedback for the previous class is given using some comments from submitted reaction papers.
