Outline (in English)

【Course outline 】
Judo is a culture unique to Japan that originated from Jiu-jitsu, etc., and by learning basic movements and basic techniques according to the movement of the opponent, attacking the opponent and defending the opponent's technique, To be able to enjoy the fun and joy of competing for victory or defeat.

【Learning Objective】
To be able to attack and defend with the throwing techniques and katame-techniques.
To master “Rei-hou".
To master "ukemi" so that students can perform judo safely.
To master the basic movements of Judo (stance, kumi-kata, way of walking, and bodywork) so that students can smoothly execute nage-waza and katame-waza.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
The first thing to do is to learn “ukemi", which will lead to safety, so please find a place outside of class to practice “ukemi".
The standard total preparation and review time for this class is one hour.

【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Active participation in class and courtesy 40%
“Ukemi" test (back, side, front, and forward): 20%.
Skills test (“nage” and “katame' techniques covered in class) 40%
