Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
There are two types of karadatukuri undou (physical training exercises): karadahogushiundou (body relaxation exercises) and karadanougokiwotakameruundou (physical fitness enhancing exercises). While the purpose of the former is awareness, coordination, and interaction, that of the latter is an understanding of how to improve physical fitness. When teaching junior high and high school students, it is imperative for them to realize the joy of exercising, which will allow them to become involved in physical education and exercise.
【Learning Objectives】
1) Students will be able to acquire leadership, knowledge, and attitudes that enable them to design physical education classes in junior high school and high school independently, voluntarily, and actively.
2) By thinking about the relationship between the environment and exercise and various problems in the world as well as devising and improving teaching methods, students will gain practical knowledge of freedom and progress, enjoy the ability to think and judge, and be able to express appropriately.
3) Safety will be considered.
【Learning activities outside of the classroom】
Two hours will be allocated each to preparatory learning and an opportunity to review the lesson. It is recommended that you incorporate exercise in your own life. Furthermore, acquire a habit of thinking about relationships with yourself from the aspects of physical fitness and lifelong sports with regard to various problems in the world.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
[Participation attitude] 30%
(1) The attitude of working on lessons that enhance abilities in cooperation with colleagues and a positive attitude related to learning teaching methods will be evaluated.
(2) An awareness of problems in self-guidance and attitude to improve will be evaluated.
(3)The attitude that allows you to manage your own physical condition and prevent non-participation because of one’s poor physical condition will be evaluated.

Exercise rhythm step
Your collaboration with your colleagues, use of imagination, and ability to practice and present will be assessed.
[Mock lesson points] 20%
(1) Understanding and knowledge of developing a teaching plan for physical exercise will be evaluated.
(2) Practical leadership ability and practical skills will be assessed through a mock physical exercise lesson.
(3) Ability to work for ingenuity in motivation will be evaluated.
[Issue Report] 30%
(1) Knowledge and understanding, thinking ability, awareness, creativity, and ability to convey in each review report will be evaluated.
(2) Whether the description is based on the originality thereof and the citations of documents that support one’s own ideas will be assessed.
