Outline (in English)

The aim of this course is to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge needed to coaching softball.
It also enhances basic skills of “throwing, catching, hitting, running” and knowledge of rules and safety in softball.

By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
-A. Students can demonstrate the basic skills of softball in the game.
-B. Students can understand and explain the characteristics, rules, and tactics of softball competition.
-C. Students can understand and explain necessary knowledge, safety considerations and points to keep in mind in order to teach softball.

Lecture/Exercise(two-credits)
1:Preparation for basic skills and rules
2~13:Review of the previous class and preparation for the next class(including short reports)
14:Comprehensive review
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.

Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following
in class contribution: 30%, Short reports : 20%, Mock lesson : 20%, Term-end reports: 30%.
