Outline (in English)

This course introduces the full picture of Japanese sports journalism, mainly focusing on newspaper coverage by the highly experienced sports journalist, who has been working in the sport journalism and covered various sports events both at home and abroad for more than 35 years, to students taking this course.
At the end of the course, students are expected to grasp the current feature and trend of sports journalism in Japan, understand the distinction between newspapers and other medium, select more correct information on sports, and learn to write easy-to-understand sentences.
Final grade will be decided base on the following; Term-end short report (70%) and in-class contribution (30%).
