Outline (in English)

The objective of this subject is to provide students with a chance to think about work environments through daily working life after graduation. For that, students will study about various issues relating to employment, discuss about them, make a presentation in class and write a final essay. By so doing, students will learn the way of thinking about things logically and perform work smoothly as planned and in compliance with the law.

[Goal]
Through the study in this seminar, it aims at students learning how work is performed and what work environment should be. The seminar also aims at students becoming able to think about things logically. As a milestone in the process, students will be supposed to read materials provided, participate in class discussion, make a presentation at least once in each semester and submit an essay in each semester.

[Work to be done outside of class (preparation, etc.]
Students must have read materials provided in class in advance. In the Spring Semester, students will have read materials, checked what they did not understand well, should be ready to ask questions or make comments in class. There is a homework during the summer holidays, that is choosing a topic that students will study about by themselves, make a presentation in class and write an essay in the Autumn Semester. They should talk to the lecturer about whether the selected topic is proper as a topic for a final essay. If a study camp is planned during the summer holidays, the topic of a final essay will be discussed there. The supposed study hours for this subject before and after each session are two.

[Grading criteria]
Assessment will be made taking into consideration various elements such as attendance, participation in class discussion, presentation in class, contents of a resume prepared for the presentation, submission of homeworks and a final essay in each semester. Assessment will be made by putting all of these together and it accounts for 100% of the marking.
