Outline (in English)

◆Course outline
In 2022, students will investigate, think and discuss about "the economy of local".
◆Learning Objectives
In this study group, students will consider "region," "society," and "economy" as keywords. The goal of this course is for students to (1) carefully read relevant literature and books, (2) formulate their own "questions," (3) conduct independent research (fieldwork and material analysis), and (4) write a research paper.
◆Learning activities outside of classroom
Be sure to prepare and review the materials introduced in each lecture.
Students are expected to actively access papers, documents, and materials related to their own problem consciousness, voluntarily collect and organize them, read them carefully, and become aware of their own originality. In addition, please try to experience fieldwork to the extent possible using your own five senses as well as literature. The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
◆Grading Criteria /Policy
The evaluation will be based on the overall attitude toward group research(30%), individual research(30%), and participation in research meetings(40%).
