[Outline and objective]
Almost all the students will start working after graduation. The students will discuss and learn what the job career is, how they will make it and why they should learn it.

[Goal]
This subject aims to give students an opportunity to study in English what the job career is, why they should learn it, and how it should be made. By so doing, students will become able to consider about their own careers and understand issues regarding career making so that they can better make their own careers in the future.

[Work to be done outside of class (preparation, etc.) ]
Students are supposed to read provided materials carefully in advance, make clear what they cannot understand, should be ready to ask questions, answer questions asked by the lecturer or make comments on the lecturer’s talk. They are also supposed to review what they learned in each session. The expected time to spend on reading before and after each lecture is two hours.

[Grading criteria]
Assessment will be made by short exams (20%), a final exam or an essay (70%) and attendance and participation in class discussion (10%). Students will frequently have a short exam in class. Also, the final exam will be conducted in the final session or students instead may be required to submit an essay of around 3,000 words. It will be decided in the class in consideration of some factors such as the number of students.
