Outline (in English)
[Seminar Outline]
This is the first year seminar for authoring a doctoral dissertation.
[Learning Objectives]
This seminar for first-year doctoral students aims at (1) acquiring the basic skills for writing a doctoral dissertation and (2) setting a research theme. Students are expected to have a good understanding of what a "research paper" is and to start research for writing one.
[Learning Activities outside of classroom]
References for each session will be selected in consultation with the seminar participants. It is recommended that you carefully read the texts of these references (mainly prior research), consider your own research theme, and prepare for the course.
The standard preparation and review time for this session is 2 hours each.
[Grading Criteria/Policy]
The overall grade will be evaluated based on the following balance. Proactive participation and contribution in the seminar 60%, progress in preparation for writing a doctoral dissertation 40%.

博士論文執筆のための演習指導（1年目）
到達目標Goal
博士課程1年生を対象とする本演習では、①博士論文執筆のための基礎的なスキルの獲得、および、②研究テーマ設定を目標とします。「研究論文」とはいかなるものかについてよく理解し、執筆に向けたリサーチを開始することが期待されます。
この授業を履修することで学部等のディプロマポリシーに示されたどの能力を習得することができるか（該当授業科目と学位授与方針に明示された学習成果との関連）Which item of the diploma policy will be obtained by taking this class?

各回の演習は、受講者からの進捗報告、教員および演習参加者からのコメントを中心にすすめます。論文執筆やリサーチの基礎的なスキルに関しては、紹介する文献などを通じて学びます。
なお、本講義は対面開催を予定するが、新型コロナウィルスの感染拡大状況に応じて授業実施方法は変更する可能性があります。

演習参加者と協議のうえ、各回の参考文献を選定します。それらの参考文献（主に先行研究）の内容について熟読のうえ、自らの研究テーマについてよく考慮し、準備することが望まれます。本演習の準備学習・復習時間は、各2時間を標準とします。
