Outline (in English)
This seminar is intended for the graduate students in the first year of master course. Graduate students acquire basic knowledge on collecting data and on preparation for the master's thesis, then make a research plan.
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
-A. To acquire the knowledge on the technique of a dissertation and the way of collecting materials and data for research
-B. To raise points at research issue on basis of preceding studies
-C. To make a research plan in according to the structure of thesis
Students will be expected to to make summary for presentation in class, besides make preparation for your thesis by research, collecting materials, the literature, and data etc.
Your overall grade will be decided based on the following
Presentation (40%), participation in discussions (30%), and the task of assignment (30%).

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
修士1年の院生を対象とする。院生は、修士論文作成のために必要な資料収集方法や準備作業等について基礎的な知識を身につけ、調査研究計画を作成する。
到達目標Goal
・学術論文の技法や資料収集の方法についての知識を習得する
・先行研究を踏まえて、研究テーマに関わる論点を提起する
・論文構成に即した調査研究計画を組み立てる

この授業は原則対面で行う。
論文作成のための基礎的な情報提供を行いながら、各院生の研究テーマの決定と研究計画作成までの過程を指導する。院生が相互に学び合う機会として適宜、演習を取り入れていく。
発表やレポート等に対する講評は適宜行い、授業内で全体にフィードバックする。

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
