Outline (in English)

Community governance in many countries has gone through great transformations in the last half century. The course seeks to provide an understanding of these changes in community policy and why they have come about. The course analyses the ideological and political factors which have shaped the development of civil society in industrial countries in the past and are shaping it in the present.
Students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content before/after each class meeting.
Students will be Assessed by;
Course presentation 30%, Short Essay50%, Class contribution 20%
