Outline (in English)

<Course Outline>
Students will learn the basics of civil, administrative, and international law on environmental issues in this class. The class will be taught on the assumption that you are a layman in the law.

<Learning Objectives>
The goal of this course is for students who have no knowledge of environmental law to grasp the whole picture. Students are expected to acquire essential knowledge for working in the environmental field.

<Learning Activities outside of Classroom>
Your required preparatory study and review time for this class is 2 hours each.

<Grading Criteria/Policy>
Your overall grade in this course will be decided based on your in-class contribution (30%) and term-end report (70%). For the term-end report, three instructors will each present two themes during these classes. You can take one of the themes, referring to five or more legal cases or papers, write a report on the theme, and submit it to the instructor in charge. Your report will be evaluated based on issues, structure, and understanding of the content.
