Outline (in English)

●Course outline
In this seminar, we will analyze and interpret motion pictures of various countries from the point of view of an allegorical representation, metaphor, camera work, and the historical and political background of each of the countries. The basic concepts: Oedipus complex , trauma, subconscious, fascism, totalitarianism, discrimination, suppression, ethnicity and minority.

●Learning Objectives
By watching and analyzing movie works from various countries, you will acquire the ability to see the essence of things, as well as the ability to verbalize and present them, and the ability to discuss.

●Learning activities outside of classroom
Before each class meeting, students will be expected to prepare for the movie work. Also, after each class meeting, you will be expected to submit a reaction paper that summarizes your views on the movie works discussed in the seminar by the next week.

●Grading Criteria /Policy
Final grade will be calculated according to the following process: Short reports(20%), making a presentation(20%) and usual performance score(60%). To pass, students must earn at least 60 points out of 100.
