Outline (in English)
This course is an overview of French literature from Middle-age to 20th century. Some representative works from each period will be studied closely, in order to give students a good grasp of this country prodigious literary field.
Students must read and prepare in advance the literary authors or works introduced through distributed prints in the previous course (about 4 hours of review and preparation are required between two courses). Academic skills will be developed through oral presentation and essay writing techniques.
Grading criteria are as follows: oral presentation of an author (50%); final paper analyzing a literary work (50%).

中世時代から現代にいたるまでのフランス語圏の文学の概説。
到達目標Goal
フランス語圏の文学の基礎知識を深める。
さまざまな仏文学潮流の代表的な作品の抜粋を読み、分析研究をする。十九世紀から非常に盛んになった大衆文学の研究も行う。

豊かなフランス語圏の文学の概説をするのは容易ではないが、いくつかの名作の抜粋を通して、この探検を試みる。
フランス語圏の文学の様々な潮流やその歴史的な背景の概説も必要であるが、なるべく原文に没入し解読を試み、その芸術的な喜びを味わう。
