Outline (in English)
In this class, we will analyze the way travel is narrated in various media such as guidebooks, blogs, photos, manga, podcasts, etc. Students will also create their own travel content and present their results in the media of their choice.
Learning objectives:
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
a) Understand how different media apply different communication strategies.
b) Acquire the communication skills necessary for group work.
c) Acquire the skills to make abstract concepts more concrete and understandable.
Learning activities outside of the classroom:
Students are required to work on their own projects.
Grading criteria/Policy:
The final grade will be decided based on the following:
Group work and presentation: 50%
Final project: 50%

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
旅行をテーマにしている実習授業です。ガイドブック、ブログ、写真、漫画、ポッドキャストなど、様々なメディアにおける旅の語り方を分析します。また、受講者が自らガイドになって、好きなメディアで成果をプレゼンテーションします。
到達目標Goal
１）様々なメディアを使った表現方法を学ぶ。
２）グループワークに必要なコミュニケーション能力のスキルを身につける。
３）抽象的なアイディアを具体に落とすスキルを身につける。

グループディスカッションやプレゼンテーションを中心に授業を進めます。

様々なガイドブックを比較しながら、いいガイドブックの作り方について考える。

様々な旅行ブログを比較する。

様々な旅行雑誌や本を比較しながら分析する。

旅行をテーマにした漫画を分析する。

様々なポッドキャストを比較しながら、いいポッドキャストの作り方について考える。

課題ごとに、授業外でも教材を考察し、作品の制作に取り組む。
本授業の準備学習・復習時間は、各 2 時間を標準とします。

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
グループワークとプレゼンテーション 50 %、課題制作の作品50%で総合的に評価する。

基本的に教授言語は日本語ですが、英語の教材を使うこともあります。
