Outline (in English)

This class addresses the "Augmented Human", "Virtual Society" and "Intelligent Artifacts", as one of the essential issues of our modern society. It allows you to learn basic principles for designing the symbiosis and augmentation of human, society, and artifacts.
By the end of the course, students should be able to (a) explain basic concepts and framework of the augmentation of human and the intelligence of artifacts, and (b) discuss the design of the symbiosis of the “Augmented Human/Society” and “Intelligent Artifacts”.
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
Final grade will be decided based on (1) final report/exam (50%) and (2) short reports and the quality of the student’s in-class contribution (50%).
