Outline (in English)

In this class, students learn how to conduct research on issues involving working people (including those who will be working) and how to write a report describing the findings. Through these studies, students aim to gain a better understanding of the current situation and problems of working people and gain useful perspectives to solve them.
There are two goals for this class.
(1)To understand the basic concepts of industrial and organizational psychology and to be able to explain the problems of working people using these concepts
(2)Acquisition of a wide range of skills from conducting research to reporting and presentation, including hypothesizing, collecting data, performing statistical analysis, and reporting on analysis results

Students are required to collect and organize information on their research topics before the start of the class. Activities during class hours will focus on discussions based on data collected in advance. The standard time for preparatory study and review in this class is 2 hours each.
The criteria for grading in this class are as follows. Active involvement in resumes, presentation discussions and surveys: 60%
Research reports (prepared reports and presentations): 40%
