Outline (in English)

[Course outline]
Learn the essential marketing theory in business activities such as developing new products and improving customer satisfaction.

[Learning Objectives]
There are three objectives of this class.
(1) To be able to explain the basic marketing concepts.
(2) To acquire general knowledge about marketing and to understand its role and basic theories.
(3) To be able to understand marketing activities practiced in society by linking them to theory.

[Method]
The basic concepts and frameworks of marketing will be discussed and explained one by one. As an introduction to marketing, we will include familiar topics in our explanations. The class will provide opportunities to listen to guest speakers as much as possible. Questions and comments will be answered in class. Feedback will also be provided via Hoppii system.

[Learning activities outside of classroom]
Please read newspapers on a regular basis and pay attention to economic and social trends. Try to understand the class content while having information about new products and company activities. The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.

[Grading Criteria /Policy]
Grades will be based on examinations and assignments. The weight is 40% for web tests and 60% for reports.
