Outline (in English)

It is very important to understand the social conditions surrounding us and the labor market in building our careers. The purpose of this lecture is to understand the current Japanese labor market from both theory and reality by using text in this field. In the lecture, although the economic models are used, it assumes mathematics at junior high school level. In addition, we learn contents of statistical data which is related with career development and methods to use it, and the historical background of labor issues.
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend two hours to understand the course content.
Final grade will be calculated according to the following process Term-end report(60%) and in-class contribution(40%).
