Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
In Human Resources Development Theory II, you will learn the significance, methods, and challenges of people forming vocational abilities in corporate society. In the first half of the lecture, you will learn the basics of human resource development and career development methods and issues for Japanese companies. In the latter half of the lecture, we will learn the characteristics of human resource development and career development in Japan through international comparison.
【Learning Objectives】
The learning goals of this class are as follows.
(1) Understand the mechanism and characteristics of human resource development in Japan and their advantages and disadvantages. (2) Be able to explain the methods and characteristics of vocational education and training in Japanese organizations.
(3) Understand the effects of vocational education and training on skill development and career development.
(4) To deepen awareness of the characteristics of Japan through international comparisons regarding the career development process, which is the process of developing human resources, and the current situation of the diversified labor market.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Make an effort to read the references instructed during class. The standard preparatory study and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
1 Participation in each class is 30 points.
2 An interim report will be imposed at the end of the first half of the class. The purpose is to look back on the first half of the class. The standard is 20 points.
We plan to conduct a regular test at the end of the term, but it may be a term-end report depending on the infection status of the new corona. The aim is to ask the degree of understanding of the content taken up in the class. The standard is 50 points.
