Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
In order to create a sustainable and mutually beneficial society, this course aims to examine the following from a global perspective:
①Understanding gender history and overview
②Understand what ethnicity and globalism is.
③Understand the problems of multicultural coexistence and immigration in Japan.
④ Understand nonprofit organizations dealing with social issues such as NPOs.
⑤ Understand the social resources and the status of the third sector in <Local area>.

【Learning Objectives】
Throughout this lecture, each student will acquire the ability to research and analyze the following points.
①Understand the theme of this lecture, ethnicity, and what gender is.
②To be able to examine the themes of "Multicultural Conviviality,"  
"Ethnicity," "Inner Internationalization," "Gender," and "Minorities" on their own through examples from Japan and other countries in the international community.
③Understand and examine the significance of non-formal educationl and lifelong education, comparing the situation in Japanese society with that overseas.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Materials will be distributed and introduced as needed, so please come and look through them before class.

【Grading Criteria /Policy】
40% will be based on reaction papers and, etc., 20% on your presentation, and 40% on final report.
However, the criteria may be changed in some cases, such as when the class is changed to an online class, in which case you will be notified.
