Outline (in English)

The aim of this course is to deepen understanding of the role and activities of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), which undertakes Japan’s ODA activities. The lectures will be delivered by various JICA staff on topics including: characteristics of Japan’s ODA, JICA’s role and main activities, human security, peace building, partnership with the private sector, volunteer activities including Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV), evaluation of development cooperation activities, role of emerging donors, and other areas.
