Outline (in English)

1. Course Outline

The objective of this Seminar is to do case study on Japanese Social Security Law.


2. Learning Objectives

By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
-A. Accurate understanding of the main problems of the latest social security law (general remarks on social security law, public assistance / welfare-related law), problem-seeking, application of theory, problem-solving ability, and future master's thesis and doctoral dissertation You can learn how to set a theme and the methods and techniques necessary for writing a dissertation on a specific theme.
-B.Students who participated in this class will understand the basic theory of social security law (general remarks on social security law, public assistance / welfare-related law) and acquire the ability to apply it to the social security law (general remarks on social security law, etc.). The ability to think flexibly and logically and clearly express one's own thoughts on various issues related to public assistance and welfare (Public Assistance and Welfare Law) will be cultivated.


3. Learning Activities Outside of Classroom

Lecture/Exercise(two-credits)
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend three hours to understand the course content.


4.Grading Criteria /Policies

Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following:
-a. In class contribution: 20%
-b. Quality of student's reports: 80%
