Outline (in English)

The aim of this course is to help students acquire an understanding of the bioinformatics associated to plants and plant pathogenic bacteria. This course deals with the principles of statistics, DNA sequencing, and DNA cloning. This course also enhances the development of students’ skill in dealing with genomic data. Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content. Final grade will be decided based on short reports after each class meeting (36%), a term-end examination (50%), and in-class contribution (14%).
