Outline (in English)

★Course outline
The fundamental theory of statistics for Bioscience and related fields will be introduced. Lectures, practices and exercises with "The R Statistical Computing Environment" on laptop PC are adopted and used as a part of the education approaches in this class.

★Learning Objectives
At the end of this course, students should be expected to do by themselves the followings:
1. To understand the theory of a statistical test that is used to find out if there is a real difference between the averages of two different groups.
2. To apply this test by using R Statistical Computing Environment

★Learning activities outside of classroom
During the period before next class, students will be expected to work the challenges the lecturer ask them to do at the end of each class

★Grading Criteria /Policy
Students are required to attend the class more than 60% of all classes and their grade can be evaluated based on the following:
Term-end examination: 80%, Short reports : 20%,
